IR-net -- Institutional Repository Support Network

About IR-net
English (USA)

IR-net is the mailing list of the Institutional Repository Support Network. It is a forum for institutional repository staff and managers to share experience and plans. It is intended to address the issues faced in providing a repository service. It is not intended as a discussion of the rationale of open access, nor platform specific software issues (other lists exist for those purposes).

Typically we discuss business issues related to university institutional repositories in Australia, such as RQF, researcher portfolios, collection development policies, research output copyright, researcher self-deposit, integration with the university mission and infromation systems, etc. Nevertheless repository staff from other countries or other types of institions may find these topics of interest and are welcome to join. Repository system developers and vendors are also welcome to join to familiarise themselves with the business issues of their users and clients. Overly partisan or overly commercial postings may be refused.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the IR-net Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
