Hi all,
I'm looking for two tutors to help me teach ANTH1003 Global and Local
in semester II. The course will offer an introduction to the
anthropology of globalisation, and will focus on contemporary global
issues such as McDonaldisation, anti-consumerism, fair trade, sport
and spectacle, labour migration, tourism, gentrification, transport
and suburbs.
Tutors' duties will involve taking tutorials (probably three per
week), marking, and if funding permits working on the course website
and mentoring students in small group projects.
School policy seems to be that preference will be given to people who
are post fieldwork and who have not yet done the Graduate Training
Program (GTP). Knowledge of the topic to be taught is essential
however and from my point of view teaching experience is also
valuable.
So if you are interested and think you might be eligible please drop
me an email right away and we will arrange a time for a chat.
Best,
Ashley
