[Anthropgrad] Melanesia symposium meeting on 12 May

The next meeting of the Melanesia Symposium will be on Tuesday, 12 May 
at 4:00 in Coombs Seminar Room E. The book to be discussed is:

Creative Land:  Place and Procreation on the Rai Coast of Papua New Guinea

By James Leach.   Oxford: Berghahn Books

The assigned readings for the discussion are Chapters 1, 4 and 8. Copies 
of those chapters are available in the Anthropology Library (Coombs 
7209), and on the web (details below). You are encouraged to read whole 
book, which will be available on 2-hour reserve from Chifley Library. 
Everyone is welcome to participate in this discussion group, whether 
academic staff, students or anyone else who is interested in things 
Melanesian, or in the topic that is being discussed at a particular
