Looking for a mature and sociable person to join a friendly postgrad/professional household 
 
A large household of postgrad students and young professionals is seeking a housemate. Due to unforseen circumstances we have a lovely furnished room available right now. Act quickly to secure your accommodation for the semester or the year.
 
The household currently consists of 5 girls and 3 guys from various countries (Australia, India, Brunei, Bosnia) and a friendly cat. The house is right across the road from the ANU in Turner, about 2 minutes walk from campus. Buses to Civic, Dickson and Belconnen shopping centres stop just outside. The house is very large (2 storey), modern and comfortable with ducted evaporative cooling, central heating, wireless broadband and a large garden. It is an 8 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms, 2 lounge areas, a huge kitchen and a laundry with an automatic washing machine. The entire house is fully furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances and utensils. There is even a piano and a ping-pong table :-)
 
The available room is downstairs, is quite large and has lots of storage space. It is fullt furnished with a double bed, mattress, pillows, bedside table and lamp, desk, reading light, adjustable chair, wardrobe etc, even coat hangers! The rent is $230/week including all bills except the phone (you only pay for the calls you make). Electricity, water, gas and internet are included in the rent, as well as things like cleaning products and some kitchen basics. Bond is 2 weeks rent and we would need you to sign an agreement at least until July 2009. 
 
To join our household you'd need to be sociable, easy going and happy to live with people from a range of cultures and backgrounds. You should also be very clean and tidy and not afraid of housework (we all share the chores). Age range 25-35 preferred.
