The intensive video workshop, Thinking with a Video Camera [VISC8009]
Will be offered as a 6 unit course for eligible MA students and any
remaining spaces to PhD students. It will meet every day, all day, from
Monday April 13 to 25th
For details see:

This intensive course is offered to persons with little or no prior
experience of video production who wish to use video as a new language that
can be applied to their own disciplines as both a research method and as a
medium of expression. The emphasis will be on the conceptual rather than the
technical, to open up new ways of approaching knowledge in a form of
discourse significantly different from that of written texts. Training in
basic video techniques will be through a series of daily exercises enabling
participants to use a video camera in the field with some degree of
confidence. Students will also be introduced to basic principles of video
editing.
