Hey guys,
Thanks to everyone who came along to Bridge in the Pub. It was good to
see so many new players learning to play. We'll continue to teach
people to play at our meetings on Thursdays, so if you haven't played
before and you missed us on Sunday just rock up and we'll show you how
the game works!

Lunchtime Bridge
ANU Bridge Club meets at lunchtime on Thursdays during semester,
starting week one. Players of all levels of experience are welcome.
Games are flexible and we include people as they arrive so don't worry
if you can't be there for the whole time. New players especially
welcome and we will be running lessons during the first few weeks as
required.
When:	1-2pm Thursdays
Where:	Upstairs in the ANU Refectory (next to Asian Bistro)

Bridge on the Beach
Join us for a weekend at Batemans Bay before uni gets busy and the
weather gets cold. The Batemans Bay Bridge Club is holding their
Annual Congress. Players of all experience are welcome (we'll pair new
players with experienced players). We'll be subsidising entry fees,
transport and accommodation. There is a beach.
When:	12 - 14 March (we'll leave on Friday afternoon)
Where:	Batemans Bay

Don't forget to join our Facebook group. Although we'll keep sending
event notices to this mailing list, you can find more comprehensive
details for events on the group, and I am slowly putting up lesson
hands and bridge puzzles.

As an extra incentive to join the FB group, I have posted nine double-
dummy bridge puzzles. The first three people to solve all nine will
win a bottle of wine.

Feel free to email with any question about bridge or about any of our
events.
Cheers,
Bec Thornberry
