[ANUBC] Update on Bridge

Hi everyone,

Sorry about the complete lack of communication for the last few weeks -
apparently I actually needed to hand in some assessment to not fail some
courses. Also apologies to anyone who showed up at CBC last Friday.

*There will be no bridge during the teaching break. We will resume
Lunchtime Bridge on Thursday 26 April and Bridge at CBC on Friday 27 April.*

Meanwhile, some dates for your calendar include -

22 April (Sunday) is the *Gala Pairs*. Please email  Bruce Crossman -
bgxman at gmail.com to enter or for more info. You only need two - this is a
pairs event and it is a chance to play some low-pressure bridge.

27 May (Sunday) from 10:00am is our planned date for the *ACT Youth
Trials*to the Australian National Championship. We currently have a
very small
expression of interest so you could be on the team if you trialled!! The
ANC this year is in Darwin and you get a travel allowance. You will have
the chance to learn from and train under experienced captains and teammates
and meet a whole lot of young bridge players from around Australia.
If insufficient pairs enter (4) then the team will be ratified with the
nominated pairs.

3 June (Sunday) is the *Southern Tablelands Teams*. Please contact me if
you would like to play a day of Teams bridge. It is the format we have been
playing at Lunchtime Bridge for the last few weeks. This is one of two
major weekend Teams events annually so don't miss it!
