Hi everyone,

Sustainability at ANU has got off to a fantastic start this year! Both Celebrate Sustainability Day and the ANU Student Garage Sale were big successes. The garage sale resulted in a huge number of items being diverted from landfill, and raised thousands
of dollars for on campus sustainability initiatives. Congratulations to Emma Day for organising such a successful Celebrate Sustainability Day, and to Ryan Godfrey and Zoe Neumayer for organising such a great garage sale. A big thank you to all those who volunteered
at both events and made them both possible.

Coming up this month we have lots of exciting events! The first is a combined
Creative Arts Learning Community and SLC event at the ANU Garden this Saturday from 10am. The idea is to come up with a concept for a new sustainable artwork at the garden, and all artistic abilities are welcome! There will be woodfired pizza, as well
as Alex's wonderful flamenco music.

Read on to find out about more events and opportunities coming up.

What: Public Lecture by Ms Miriam Dunn. To manage climate change, stakeholders in viticulture and other primary industries require information about the likely future climate of their region. However, when
providing future climate information, researchers have tended to assume which characteristics of the climate information are most useful to Users in the primary industries in assisting short- and long-term decision-making for climate change adaptation, including
the spatial and temporal scales which are most useful. This study begins to explore this disconnect by comparing Users' and Providers' perspectives on Users' future climate information needs for climate change adaptation decision making, and whether or not
those needs are being met. More information
