Dear all,

AQUA's publication, Quaternary Australasia, has recently undergone a few
changes. To start with, coinciding with my recent move to Germany, we
now have an editorial team (rather than just one editor) to handle the
significant job of compiling contributions and production. I will remain
editor-at-large, and will be working jointly with our new associate
editor, Jess Reeves. I would like to welcome Jess to the position and
look forward to continuing to receive contributions from members of the
Australasian Quaternary community. Peer-reviewed articles are
particularly encouraged.

For future correspondence relating to Quaternary Australasia, please
feel free to get in touch with me (as primary contact) or Jess. Our
emails are:
kathryn_fitzsimmons at eva.mpg.de
jessica.reeves at rmit.edu.au
Alternatively, you can contact us at editor at aqua.org.au.

I would like to take this opportunity to solicit contributions for the
July, 2010 issue of Quaternary Australasia. Articles for peer review,
workshop, field trip and conference reports, extended abstracts, thesis
abstracts, book reviews and lists of recent publications are welcome.
Student contributions are particularly encouraged, as are articles
relating to items of national or regional scope which might not be
appropriate for international publications. The deadline for
contributions for this next issue is end March 2010.

The second piece of news is that Quaternary Australasia will be
available online through InformIT as of this year. This is very
exciting, as the new format will increase our circulation and will
enable wider availability particularly of the research articles, while
increasing awareness of the existence of our publication. The hard copy
journal will continue to be published and distributed to AQUA members.
Jess Reeves will be handling this aspect of production, and will provide
more information with the publication of the July, 2010 issue.

Kind regards,
Kat Fitzsimmons
