Dear AQUAlisters,

A PhD scholarship opportunity will be advertised in this week's Higher
Education section of The Australian for a project: "The palaeoenvironmental
history of south-east Queensland sand islands". The project will likely
focus on North Stradbroke Island (the subject of a current Linkage) but
opportunity may exist to expand to other sites including Bribie, Moreton and
potentially Fraser Island, particularly through collaborative arrangements
with other researchers.

The supervision team may include Cameron Barr (Adelaide), Patrick Moss (U
Queensland) and I.

Applicants with experience in the stable isotopes of organic matter,
chironomid or diatom analysis are particularly welcome.

Unfortunately these scholarships are only available to Australian or New
Zealand citizens.

With best wishes,

John Tibby.
