Applications are invited for two full-time, ongoing lectureships in Physical Geography, available from 1 December 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applicants with research expertise in coastal and environmental / applied geomorphology are particularly welcome, although any areas complementing existing teaching and research emphases in Physical Geography will be considered. Candidates will already have their PhD, and be expected to have, or be developing a strong publication record and demonstrate an emerging international research profile in their field, together with an ability / potential to attract research funding. An enthusiasm and proven ability to teach at all undergraduate levels is required and a commitment to field-based teaching advantageous. Postgraduate teaching and supervision of Masters and PhD students in your preferred specialism can be expected, and an ability to attract high quality postgraduate students is also highly desirable. The appointment will be at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level, depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicants.
