I have the pleasure of informing you that the coming ‘<b><i>QRA Third
International Postgraduate Paleo-environments Symposium’</i></b>, will be
held from 15th to 17th September, 2004 in Brussels at the Royal Belgian
Institute for Natural Sciences organised by the Department Geological
Survey of Belgium.<br><br>
This symposium provides the opportunity for post-graduates (PhD/Msc
students) from all disciplines within Quaternary Sciences to discuss
their work in an informal but surely stimulating environment. Following
two days of oral and poster presentations, a field excursion is planned
to the Belgian coastal plain, lead by Prof. Dr. C. Baeteman. <br>
We also can inform you that two prominent guest speakers, <i>Dr. Torbjörn
Törnqvist (USA) and</i> <i>Prof. Dr. Helmut Brückner (Germany) </i>wil be
present at our symposium. <br><br>
As Brussels is the capital of Europe, we promiss you an exciting ‘real
Belgian’ and multi-cultural social program throughout the
conference.<br><br>
The registration and abstract deadline is the
<b>5<font size=1><sup>th</sup></font> of July 2004</b>, but the <b>‘early
bird registration option’</b> before the
<b>31<font size=1><sup>th</sup></font> of May 2004</b> will guarantee all
your accommodation arrangements.<br><br>
REGISTRATION FEE: 35€ (including conference dinner, Belgian beer
ice-breaker party, lunches and field excursion , but excluding
accommodation)<br><br>
