We are seeking to appoint a Chair of Archaeological Sciences with flair

<br>

and vision in research. This post represents an exciting opportunity to

<br>

play a key role in research leadership in a highly active (RAE Grade 5;

<br>

QAA Excellent) department. The Department is unique in its broad <br>

coverage of the field of archaeological sciences. Therefore, we are 

<br>

seeking a candidate with a strong research record and leadership in one

<br>

or more of the following areas: bioarchaeology, biological <br>

anthropology, geoarchaeology, material culture, or in complementary 

<br>

fields. <br><br>

An appointment as Reader will be considered for candidates with a <br>

strong research profile but who do not yet satisfy all the criteria for

<br>

a Chair. Salary will be as appropriate on the readership/professorial

<br>

salary scale.<br><br>
