[TimorLesteStudies] Get Together of PostGraduate Researchers in Melbourne and Dili

At a meeting of postgraduate students working on PhD and Research Masters theses on Timor-Leste last week in Melbourne it was decided to set up a regular (monthly?) informal get together. This would include research students, supervisors, propsective examiners etc. who might be interested in discussing their research, common problems with postgraduate research, access to materials, availability of research findings in Timor-Leste for Timorese researchers etc.  

The first such gathering will be held on Thursday 8th October from 4 pm at the Graduate School Lounge (9th floor) at Victoria University's City Campus, 300 Flinders Street, Melbourne. A similar group has been meeting informally in Dili and this group will be revived and advertised through the Timor Leste Studies Association email.  The next meeting will be on Thursday 15th possibly at the Department of Community Development, UNTL, Caicoli Campus but wait for a further email. Convenor of Dili group is Emanuel Braz  emanuel.braz at live.vu.edu.au

Colleagues in Canberra, Sydney, Darwin etc. are invited to set up their own such groups in these cities and also advertise them on this email list.
