[TimorLesteStudies] Seminar-Land & Agriculture in Timor-Leste

The Australia-East Timor Association is holding a seminar on Land and
Agriculture in Timor-Leste. Panel members will be Shona Hawkes, speaking on
Land, and Ego Lemos and Alberto de Jesus Barro speaking on Agriculture.

When: 
Saturday the 31st of October at 2.00 pm
You may wish to have lunch from the CERES Cafe at 1.00 pm.

CERES Community Environment Park, Corner Roberts and Stewart Streets,
Brunswick East (off Blyth St), Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Please note that no car parking is permitted inside the park.

Public transport: 
CERES is near the terminus of the East Brunswick number 96 tram.
The number 508 bus also travels along Blyth Street.
       
Seminar venue: 
The seminar will be held at the Education Centre
(a white building at the southern end of the park).

About the speakers:

* Shona Hawkes is a researcher at La'o Hamutuk ('Walking together'), the
  Timor-Leste Institute for Development Monitoring and Analysis) based in
  Dili. 

* Ego Lemos is the founder of the Timorese permaculture non-government
  organisation PERMATIL (Permakultura Timor Lorosa'e) and a prominent
  musician in Timor-Leste. He is currently completing a Masters
  degree at Victoria University.

* Alberto de Jesus Barros has a degree in Agriculture from the
  National University of Timor-Leste. He works for the Friends of Suai.
  Alberto is sponsored by the Walter Marigold Trust Fund to study English at
  Taylors College and is hosted in Melbourne by the Friends of Suai.
  

There will be an AETA book stall where you will be able to purchase Ego's
new CD "O Hele Le'.
