THE CABINET OF HEALTH RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT, TIMOR-LESTE
 
The Ministry of Health, Timor-Leste, is pleased to announce the
establishment of the new Cabinet of Health Research and Development.
 
The aim of this Cabinet is to co-ordinate and integrate health research in
the country, and to provide accurate data and information for health system
planning and policy.  We hope to promote more and better health research in
Timor-Leste, through research methodology training workshops, advocacy and
mobilisation of resources.
 
The Cabinet will have a Technical and Ethical Committee to evaluate all
proposals to conduct health research in Timor-Leste. We are also building a
reference database of existing health research related to Timor-Leste.
 
If you have conducted health-related research in Timor-Leste in the past, we
would be grateful if you could send the citation and .pdf to us to add to
the database: timorlestehealthresearch at gmail.com.
 
All future health research proposals should be submitted to the Cabinet for
technical review and ethical approval.
