The University of New South Wales is pleased to announce the publication
of the Timor-Leste Health Care Seeking Behaviour Study Report, produced
in conjunction with AusAID, Timor-Leste Ministry of Health, The Alola Foundation
and the National Directorate of Statistics in Timor-Leste. </font><font size=3>
<br>
</font><font size=2 face="sans-serif"><br>
Funded by AusAID, the purpose of the study was to enhance understanding
of factors affecting the use of health services in Timor-Leste, in order
to inform government health policy and strategic planning and development.
The study comprised four main components:</font><font size=3> </font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">1. Preparation
and stakeholder engagement (literature review, situation analysis, identification
of priority domains of inquiry) and partner identification;</font><font size=3>
</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">2. Survey
and qualitative research (development, implementation, analysis and report-writing);</font><font size=3>
</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">3. Dissemination
(policy makers and planners understand findings and implications for policy
and strategy); and</font><font size=3> </font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">4. Capacity
building (increasing research-related skills and experience of local staff).</font>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif"><br>
The English and Tetum versions of the final report in PDF format are available
for download from The University of New South Wales' School of Public Health
