Greetings from the Indonesia and Timor-Leste Studies Committee!<br><br>
I'mwriting to let you know about three awards for which you may qualify
as a participant in this year's annual meetings of the Association for
Asian Studies (AAS) in Toronto.<br><br>
There is, first, the <b>ITLSC Graduate Student Travel Award,</b> which
provides up to $500 in travel funds to assist a graduate student actively
participating – which usually means presenting a paper – at the
conference in Toronto. Applicants shouldd submit: <b>(a)</b>Â a current
CV; <b>(b)</b>Â information regarding any other financial support
received for attending the conference; and <b>(c)</b>Â a brief
description of their participation in the conference (e.g., presenting a
paper, organizing a panel, acting in other official capacity). All
materials must be sent to
<a href="mailto:indotimorleste@gmail.com">indotimorleste@gmail.com</a> no
later than <b>Monday, February 13</b>. Original receipts will be required
for reimbursement after the conference. Standard AAS travel policies
apply when deciding on eligible travel expenses (details at the
conference websiteÂ

here</a>). For students already receiving a travel grant from the AAS,
receipts cannot be refunded twice.<br><br>
Second, there is the <b>ITLSC Fund for Scholars Traveling from Asia</b>,
which provides up to $1000 to assist a scholar traveling from Indonesia
or Timor Leste to participate in the conference in Toronto. Applicants
should submit <b>(a)</b> a current CV; <b>(b)</b> information regarding
any other financial support received for attending the conference; and
<b>(c)</b>Â a brief description of their participation in the conference
(e.g., presenting a paper, organizing a panel, acting in other official
