<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Since the restoration of Timor-Leste's independence, local
populations have been the object of numerous governance projects that affect
practices of social reproduction in different ways. These processes have been
imposed upon longstanding sociopolitical formations. As a product of these
interactions, new ruptures, continuities and syntheses are configured.<span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 10pt;line-height:115%;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">The first conference of the Timor-Leste Studies
Association's Brazilian chapter invites scholars, undergraduate and
post-graduate students, academic and non-academic researchers to submit
proposals for papers which address how disruptions, continuities and new
syntheses have been negotiated in Timor-Leste, from multiple disciplinary
perspectives.<span></span></p>
