Call for Papers by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Elsevier
Biofuels in Asia
for a Special Supplementary issue to be published in the international journal,
Applied Energy.
We are pleased to announce a call for papers on ‘Biofuels in Asia’ for
publication in a special supplementary issue of the International Journal,
Applied Energy. This supplement will focus on biofuels in either the whole Asian
region or in a particular country in that region and will include the following
topics:
· Current status of Asian biofuel development
· National development target and strategy of biofuels
· Incentives and policies for biofuel development
· R&D innovation and Technology roadmap of biofuels
· Bioenergy resources assessment incl. land use, water resources,
biodiversity for biofuel redevelopment
· Conversion technologies and demonstration implementation
· Biofuel trading in Asia vs. global market
· Sustainability incl. environmental impacts, greenhouse gas emissions
reduction, poverty alleviation, food vs. biofuels etc of biofuel development
If you would like to submit an article for consideration, please send your paper
or a summary of your topic to apen at che.kth.se.
Topic summaries are due: December 15, 2008.
Final papers are due: January 15, 2009

A summary is not required but only complete submissions will be accepted after
December 15, 2008.
All contributed papers are requested to be prepared to according to the author’s
instruction of Applied Energy, see,

Manuscripts will be reviewed and final selected papers will be published in a
special supplement to Applied Energy. One of the authors might be invited to
participate in an int. conference organized by ADB to present the paper.
