Mobile Bear Exhibit in Hanoi Zoo

Last weekend (6-7 Dec), Education for Nature-Vietnam, in cooperation with Hanoi Zoo, held a Mobile Bear Exhibition called "Bring Peace to Vietnam's Bears" at Hanoi Zoo. The zoo's visitors had the chance to learn about Vietnam's bears and the threats to their survival. The exhibition also featured a life-sized torture chamber which visitors could enter to view footage of bear bile extraction, and bear artwork. In the children's corner of the exhibit, children colored pictures about protecting Vietnam's bears. Over the two days, 1,522 people signed pledges committing not to use bear bile or bear products. The bear exhibition was held with the support of volunteer students from KOTO.
