Publication of NA Complete Works kicks off

Ha Noi (VNA) – The Standing Committee of the National Assembly on February 18 
held a conference in Ha Noi to launch the publication of the National Assembly’s 
Complete Works in 2008 and the 2008-2010 period.

This was the first time that the NA Standing Committee decided to publish such a 
complete collection of the National Assembly’s works in its history of over 60 
years.

Addressing the conference, Nguyen Phu Trong, NA Chairman and President of the 
Publication Council, stated that the move will do its part in showing in an 
impartial and honest way the organising and operating process of the National 
Assembly and its agencies from 1946 till now, as well as the construction and 
development of the State of Viet Nam under the leadership of the Communist Party.

Trong said the publication also helped provide exact historical documents for 
the research of the NA history. It provided information about the tradition of 
the National Assembly and the State for cadres, Party members and people, 
especially young generations.

Between 2004-2007, four volumes of the Complete Works of the National Assembly 
from the first to the fifth term (1946-1976) were published. Of them, Volumes 1, 
2 and 3 were posted on the Internet.

In 2008, the NA Standing Committee plans to complete the publication of Volumes 
5 and 6 (Complete Works of the National Assembly in its 7th term) and prepare 
for the publication of Volume 7 (Complete Works of the National Assembly in its 
7th and 8th terms, from 1987-1992).

By 2010, the publication of 10 volumes of the Complete Works of the National 
Assembly from the first to the 11th term is expected to be fulfilled.-Enditem
