To Everyone Who Knows a Deserving Non-Profit Organization:

The Union of North American Vietnamese Student Associations (uNAVSA), a
non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization, invites your
philanthropic non-profit organization to participate in our Collective
Philanthropy Project (CPP) for 2009-2010. CPP was created during the
second uNAVSA conference held in the summer of 2005, in conjunction with
the Vietnamese Interacting As One (VIA-1) Conference, as a vehicle to
assist North American Vietnamese non-profit organization or philanthropy
groups in order to better achieve their mission through collective and
collaborative partnership with uNAVSA and its constituent groups. In
addition, the CPP provides a medium for youths and students across North
America to collaborate behind one charitable cause to build foundations
and leaders for our community.

A mutually beneficial relationship, the chosen CPP beneficiary will gain
from national exposure and funds to finance a project proposal while
offering the uNAVSA community of young leaders the opportunity and
leadership to work hands on in the non-profit arena.is

effort from students and young professionals around the country. Once
anyour organization is selected, you will work with representatives from
uNAVSA the organization will work side by side with uNAVSA CPP directors
to carry out a national fundraising campaign from start to finish. to
fundraise for and execute your proposal. It’s a mutually beneficial
relationship that both organizations can use for leadership development
as well as organizational management. We will raise the fund for your
organization and help with manpower. Within the four years this project
was established, we’ve helped four organizations with the funds they
needed for their projects; and also strengthened our bonds with VSAs
around the country by working closely together with them. The last check
we signed for our recipient was $51,536 to help build a community center
for refugees in Cambodia.

We hope you consider this opportunity to work with us. Although only one
organization is chosen every year, the three presenting organizations
have the opportunity to directly interact with over 400 attendees to
further spread awareness about their purpose and goals. Even if your
organization is not selected, attendees will be educated about your
issues and goals, helping them better understand what organizations
exist to combat specific issues in the Vietnamese and Vietnamese
American community. We hope your organization will consider being a part
