Dear Colleague,
I am writing to let you know about an online network that is advocating
for policies and resources to strengthen the fight against TB. Since we
need all the advocates we can get to join this important effort, I am
hoping you will consider joining the Stop TB Advocacy Network.
The Advocacy Network is made up of all and any organizations involved in
global advocacy activities for global health, and TB more specifically.
It provides an opportunity to engage with other advocacy-active
colleagues by sharing advocacy messages, information and initiatives
through frequent electronic contact by emails and an internet forum, in
addition to phone calls.
The Advocacy Network will meet in person once a year and virtually on a
monthly basis, offering a means for partners to unite around activities
such as: determining and implementing a calendar of priority TB events;
participating in innovative ways of communication such as "Open-Mic"
sessions; using and improving the Centre for Resource Mobilization
website; and contributing to the development of training courses on
political advocacy."
The Advocacy Network has a web page where you can indicate your interest
in working and collaborating with other advocacy partners on particular
topics, for example at the HOT TOPICS discussion forum.
The first step to join this partner-owned network is to sign up on this
http://www.stoptb.org/bi/resmob/ <http://www.stoptb.org/bi/resmob/> and
actively share your advocacy-related news.
