Local Economic Development (LED) Training Course

Location: Toronto, Canada

Organised by: Centre for Agricultural Resources and International Development 
(CEFARD), Canada

Description
The main goal of this training programme is to bring together a diverse group of 
40 motivated experts in their vocations from around the world for training and 
discussions on various local economic resources that could be used to create 
wealth for poverty alleviation.

Registration Information
Admission Requirements:

Minimum of two years college education.

This course is designed for agricultural consulants, development practitioners, 
government officials, students, job seekers, lecturers, private and 
non-governmental organisation employees. Candidates must have at least two years 
experience in their field of specialisation as well as good command of written 
and spoken English language.

Application Procedure:

Candidates must send the following documents to CEFARD Secretariat not later 
than 15th May, 2008

CV/resume, not more than 2 pages

Cover letter showing email address, phone numbers, sex, age and complete mailing 
address

Copies of all academic/professional credentials

Statement of purpose (reason why you want to attend the course, what you intend 
to gain from the course, and how you will apply the knowledge gained to your 
community or profession)

Mode of Application:
Intending participants should submit their application using one of the 
following methods:

Participation fees:
The cost of registration is US$2,500 (includes tuition, course material, 
lodging, feeding & local transportation).
