*A fun filled event of entertainment:*
The Humanitarian Services for children of Vietnam 4th annual fundraiser
boasts our biggest entertainment up yet, featuring some of Hanoi's
hottest acts.
Sample food from our diverse vendors, grab and cold Mug of Tiger beer
and wander over to the main stage to enjoy a fine evening of music and
dancing!
*The Van Ho Ba*
Jazz funk collective, The Van Ho Ba will bring their explosive sound to
the main stage. Featuring horns, percussion and a three Girl Vocal
group, The Van Ho Ba can be described as an unstoppable groove machine.
Known for their love of a party, they are sure to get you dancing.
*Dhoopstick*
Relaxed, mellow and Funky. Three words used to describe a Dhoopstick
set. David Cameron's eclectic song writing talent will be on display
here as the official Hanoi International Theatre Society Band fill the
venue with their tunes.
*Recycle*
A rising star in Hanoi, Recycle are looking to build upon seminal sets
at Art port 2008 and CKX. Combining Indie Rock influences with their own
unique lyrics, Recycle, promise to bring and intense live show to the
main stage. Having already released two EP's in their short career, they
will be a band to watch in the near future.
*Simpsons Donkey*
Expat rockers, Simpsons Donkey, will once again be joining the HSCV line
up. Featuring the song writing talent of Dominic Smith and the vocal
stylings of Imanudin and Alicia, They will deliver and engaging and
energetic set.
*Bethany and Friends
*
Bethany Bauman has been creating waves in Hanoi, with her stripped back
tunes and soulful voice. She will be joined by fellow songwriter Ryan
and percussionist Mal to create an intriguing sound which will draw you
in and leave you satisfied.
*Bubolebu
*
Hanoi's own Belly Dancing troupe have prepared 3 special pieces for the
fundraiser this year. Catch them on the main stage after the sun goes
down but beware: their Hypnotic dances and exotic costumes will leave
you breathless.
*Drum circle*
For the first time the fundraiser will feature an African Drum circle.
Formed by Expats in Hanoi, the circle will play 4 special pieces and
infuse the Stage with the sounds of traditional Africa.
*DJ JC and DJ Scouse.*
Listen out for DJ scouse through the day as he brings you a mix of funk,
soul, ska, bugaboo and Latin. And headlining the evening will be our
favorite DJ, JC, who will keep you jiving long into the night as he
unleashes his highly danceable tunes on the American club
Remember that in addition to our entertainment line up, the 4th annual
fundraiser will feature our inaugural 'Oasis Football shoot out,' as
well as a massive raffle and great times for all. Entry is by donation
and gates open at 2pm. So make sure you get yourself down to the
American club, on Saturday 8th of November for an evening of great Value
Entertainment, food and drinks.
A donation of 150,000 vnd for adults and 50,000 vnd for children is
suggested at the door.
Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV) is a grassroots NGO
dedicated to serving orphans, homeless children and other children in
need in Vietnam. HSCV works directly in each community and in most cases
directly with the families in our programs. The money raised will
support HSCV programs which provide relief to impoverished children and
families in Northern Vietnam.
See you there!
