Production and airing of two short films on selected family relationship issues 
and child poverty issues

UNICEF Viet Nam is looking for a documentary film producer/crew for production 
and airing of two short films on selected family relationship issues and child 
poverty issues.

The purpose of the consultancy is to provide technical support for the 
production of 2 short films for advocacy purposes on selected family 
relationship issues and child poverty issues. The specific objectives are as 
follows:

To provide essential information to policy-makers, community leaders and the 
general public on selected family relationship issues that have significant 
implications for the protection, care and education of children such as domestic 
violence, time use by parents for child care, inter-generation conflicts, etc.
To improve the understanding and the awareness of different dimensions of child 
poverty in Viet Nam and of the advantages and limitations of the existing 
monetary measurements of poverty and the multidimensional  child poverty and to 
obtain a more holistic view of child poverty among policy-makers, researchers 
and the general public.

Closing date for receipt of proposals: 10 July 2009

Qualifications and experience required:
A highly qualified professional documentary film crew led by a producer/director 
who is experienced in producing documentary films, especially on social issues 
such as family, poverty, etc. and has capacity to produce the expected final 
product by the given the set timeline (as above-mentioned). Previous cooperation 
with UNICEF and experience in working with children will be a plus.
