Research into teaching practice

I am trying to get details of institutions which have funds, and schemes, to
encourage academic staff to rearch into their own teaching (and learning)
practice.  I am especially interested in how such schemes are administered, the
criteria used to identify worthwhile projects, and generally how they operate.
