PROJECT COORDINATOR (HALF-TIME) (REF: 32/99)

HUMAN RESOURCES (CENTRE FOR STAFF DEVELOPMENT)

The Centre for Staff Development wishes to appoint a creative, dynamic,
innovative project co-ordinator to manage the University's 'Inclusivity in
Providing Services to Students' Project. The Project is funded by a grant
from the national Committee for University Teaching and Staff Development
and aims to increase awareness of diversity and cross-cultural issues in
the wider educational context of service provision; to increase support
staff members' competence and confidence in inclusive communication
practices; and to design and implement more inclusive administrative and
organisational practices. The Project Co-ordinator will be based in the
Centre for Staff Development and report to the Project Director. The
Project will be supported by a Steering Group. Experience in implementing,
monitoring and evaluating staff development programmes, good communication
skills, a demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a broad range of
diversity and inclusivity issues are among the essential criteria. The
appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for 12 months and the
successful applicant will be required to work the equivalent of 18.75 hours

SALARY RANGE: HEE Level 8 $48,906 - $53,647 p.a. (full-time)
