You'll probably hear about this one through other sources but I'd like to
give a plug for a new book from the SEDA stable in their "SEDA Papers"
series, number 106. Here's the info:

GOOD PRACTICE IN POSTGRADUATE SUPERVISION SEDA PAPER 106, 1999
Edited by Gina Wisker and Nick Sutcliffe

It looks like a rich and substantial collection of independent papers whose
authorships are from the UK and Australia. I have a bit of a vested
interest myself, having contributed a piece that arose out of the work on
Discovering the Scholarship of Teaching that I did last year at UWS
Hawkesbury with Carolyn Webb.

My chapter is "Supervision Revisited: Thoughts on Scholarship, Pedagogy and
Postgraduate Research".

There are also Australian chapters by Linda Conrad of Griffith, Kisane
Slaney of Curtin, and Terry Evans of Deakin.

Can't tell you the price, but SEDA's electronic addresses are:
office@seda.demon.co.uk and
http://www.seda.demon.co.uk

Best regards to all.

Lee
