The Faculty of Commerce and Economics is seeking to appoint a Director,
Education Development and Technology. The Faculty has over 6,000 students
enrolled in its programs. The Director will be responsible for building an
institutional vision for the use of new media in teaching and learning; for
providing leadership in the area of curriculum quality, innovation and
change; and developing and managing Faculty-wide processes, activities and
initiatives that support education quality.

The Faculty is seeking to appoint an applicant with a minimum 5 - 10 years
experience in the design and development of curricula at the postgraduate
level in a management/business School or Faculty with a specific focus on
flexible (multi-mode) delivery; demonstrated success in the
conceptualisation, design and delivery of large scale flexible learning
projects; experience in off-shore curriculum development and delivery;
demonstrated success as a team leader and change agent; experience in the
development and delivery of staff induction, orientation and development
programs; experience in the establishment and delivery of quality systems;
outstanding project management skills; highly developed interpersonal,
communication and relationship-building skills; negotiation and influencing
skills; experience in budget formulation and management with "bottom-line"
profit accountabilities; regard for academic values and the ability to work
with academic staff in a collegial environment.

A very attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the
successful applicant. Membership of a University approved superannuation
scheme is a condition of employment.
