announcement about the details of the scheme.

Herdsa Branches and Special Interest Groups(SIGS)

I got no response from my appeal for information about branches and SIGS
last week so I will try again!

I would like to find out the current status of the Herdsa Branches so that
new members can be aware of local events. I know that the New Zealand, WA
and VIC branches are active, how about ACT, QLD and Hong Kong. I also heard
from Love Nneji recently, she is interested in starting a branch in Africa
and that would be good. So could those who have some information please
contact me and then I can include some news in HERDSA NEWS.

Likewise for the Special Interest Groups.

The groups that currently exist are:

ADSIG (Academic Developers Special Interest Group)
Student Learning
HELM (Higher Education Leadership and Management)
UNILEARN (Language and Learning)

Would those involved with these groups please contact me to let me know the
status of the groups.

Fourth National Institute for New Faculty Developers to be held June 28 to
July 2, 2003, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This five-day, intensive, hands-on working residential program is designed
to address questions posed by faculty developers, provide a framework for
effective instructional development activities on your campus, and, most
importantly, put new faculty developers at ease in their positions!

Registration for the institute is available online at
http://opd.iupui.edu/ninfd.
