Last week I attended the Griffith University Effective Teaching and Learning

Crebert would appreciate offers from colleagues to review one paper for the
forthcoming published proceedings. If you would like to help please contact

Subject: Imaginative Curriculum Newsletter
Dear colleagues
I attach a newsletter
NOTE The newsletter can be obtained from Denise Chalmers
<d.chalmers at uq.edu.au>
to bring you up to date with the work of the project. As you will see when
we put it all together we have achieved much in the nearly three years that
the network has existed.
Thanks to all of you who have contributed to our events, our enquiries into
creativity, our research studies or who have prepared Curriculum Guides.
There is enormous commitment and passion in our network and our events are
quite inspiring.
The project was initiated in January 2002 by the Learning and Teaching
Support Network Generic Centre. In May of this year the LTSN merged with ILT
to form the Higher Education Academy and I am pleased that the Academy will
continue to support this area of work.
There are now over 200 people on the Imaginative Curriculum mail list so our
plan is to move quickly to a JISC mail list to make the network more
accessible. You will receive shortly a message inviting you to join the list
and I hope that you will want to remain within the network.
Over the last 18 months we have become more focused on the role of
creativity in students' learning and in the coming year we want to be more
strategic in encouraging higher education teaching communities to think
about how they encourage and enable students to be creative. If anyone would
like to contribute to this work by hosting a discussion in their department
or disciplinary community please get in touch with me.
best wishes
Norman

The November 2004 batch of 110 records has been uploaded to the Database
of Research on International Education.
The new records can be browsed from the New Additions page:
http://aei.dest.gov.au/AEI/PublicationsAndResearch/ResearchDatabase/
The new additions this month include a number of New Zealand reports,
including several funded by the Export Education Levy. Of particular
interest will be the "Database of New Zealand literature related to the
export education sector" that arose from the "Stocktake of New Zealand
literature on export education". It details 360 publications of
relevance to export education in New Zealand. Non-NZ entries include
2004 HERDSA conference papers on international education, and other
publications on topics ranging from plagiarism, homestay host attitudes,
internationalisation, offshore teaching, online learning, Chinese
students, international student attitudes, and researching international
education.
