Please kindly note that our University would like to invite scholarly papers
from academics and teaching professionals for presentation at our
International Conference to be held in Hong Kong from 13th to 15th June
2005. We understand that the members of your Association will have interest
on joining this conference with some details below:

The First International Conference on Enhancing Teaching and Learning
through Assessment 

The conference theme is "Enhancing Teaching and Learning through
Assessment". Papers on the following areas are invited:

Paper presentations, round table discussions and poster session will be
arranged at the conference. Furthermore, Prof John Biggs, Prof Georgine
Loaker and Dr. Peggy Maki have kindly accepted our invitations as the

Complexity, Science and Society Conference

Liverpool University is organising a multi-disciplinary conference from 11th
to 14th of September, 2005, entitled Complexity, Science and Society. This
will include a dedicated Education strand, in addition to Archaeology, Arts,
Built Environment, Bio-complexity, Computing, Development, Ecological
Economics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Geography, Health, Health
Care, Law, Linguistics, Management, Manufacturing, Multi-agent systems,
Politics and International Affairs, Philosophy, Primary Care, Psychology,
Social Theory, and Social Work strands. There are also going to be
contributions from the visual and other arts.

The conference offers a unique opportunity for people interested in
Complexity Theory and Education to share perspectives with others interested
in this area, and also to attend a range of sessions in different
