Dear colleagues,
On 27-28 September 2007 the third biennial international pedagogies and
learning conference will be hosted by the University of Southern Queensland
and held at the USQ Springfield campus, west of Brisbane. On 26 September
the conference will be preceded by a consortium for doctoral students.
The conference website url is:

The conference theme is "Meaning emerging in practice". Possible sub-themes
include:
* understanding transformative pedagogies
* features of successful pedagogical practice
* developing the globalised learning environment
* exploring the challenge of pedagogical change
* constructing new futures for learning
* researching personal pedagogies
* engaging student voice in practice
* pedagogy and values learning
* service learning in education
* language and pedagogy
* pedagogy for intercultural literacy
* strength-based learning
* e-learning and multi-modalities
* learner autonomy
Abstracts are due for submission by 17 April 2007 to pedagogies at usq.edu.au

Full papers for refereeing for possible publication in the 'first wave' of
the conference proceedings (in the second half of 2007) are due for
submission by 22 June 2007.
Earlybird registration closes on 20 July 2007.
Full papers for refereeing for possible publication in the 'second wave' of
the conference proceedings (in the first quarter of 2008) are due for
submission by 30 November 2007.
It would be excellent to receive one or more presentation abstracts and if
possible full papers for refereeing from you and/or your colleagues. Please
feel free to pass this message onto people in your professional networks.
