'Afternoon all,
TomW> ps: Next Wednesday the ABC Hot Chips people want me to record a
TomW> few words on hackers and the media's portrayal of them. What
TomW> would help would be if you could collectively come up with
TomW> about three points (one line each), expressing what you think I
TomW> should say.
Ideas:
- Most (what percentage?) of illegal hacking is done by
employees and ex-employees of the hacked organizations.
- Any network can be hacked.
- The open nature of the internet, and of much of the software
that runs on internet sites, means that most security holes
are able to be scrutinized, publicized and addressed by
a very large, world-wide group of professionals.
Thanks,
Tim.
