Interestingly, and I was just about to email this info, I was approached by
7.30 report to talk about internet and this aspect. As part of the due
diligence I contacted some parliamentary staffers to find out exactly what
it was that Lavarch had said. Their response was that "there is in fact no
new statement from the AG" - the ABC just ran it as if it was new news
(apparently in response to another computer porn story) They actually
picked up the info from the Lavarch press release of 14/07/95 regarding the
Commonwealth, State and Territory ministers meeting and recycled it. I have
the full text of that release if people want me to spend some typing time
..
