   LAW FOUNDATION LAUNCHES LEGAL INFORMATION SERVICE ON THE INTERNET 
                           FOUNDATION LAW

The Law Foundation has launched an ambitious program to establish the
world's first national legal database on the Internet. Foundation Law will
make the full text of Commonwealth, State and Territory legislation and
regulations; decisions of the High Court, Federal Courts and Tribunals,
State Supreme Courts, and other state courts available on the Internet.

"We have received extraordinary co-operation from Attorneys General,
Department Heads and Head of Jurisdiction around Australia," said Law
Foundation Chairman Justice Vince Bruce. "Their willingness to make their
data available to us has been the key to providing this service to the whole
community."

Foundation Law has been endorsed by the Bar Association of NSW, the Law
Society of NSW, the NSW Attorney General's Dept and has been developed with
the co-operation and assistance of the Australasian Legal Information Institute.

"The Law Foundation has a long history of providing innovative solutions to
the problems of the community's access to the law and the legal system.
Foundation Law is the most significant project we have ever undertaken."
