This I find quite amazing, as Telstra quite strongly refused to consider
allowing businesses to use 1900 for internet/bbs type applications. Now
that it suits Telstra it seems that the objections have disappeared.

(I understand Telstra didn't want 1900 to follow the same 'grubby' road
that 0055 did and therefore was concerned that 1900 being used for data
could allow unsavoury content to pass to users. Telstra currently vet
1900 services to ensure content meets certain critera eg: sex lines are
out.)

I wonder how limited any such 'casual' access to the net might be.
