Proxy servers?

1) As a temporary measure, you could remove the proxy entries from the 
networking options of Netscape. This may not work however as many 
firewalls block http traffic from insode a site that does not originate 
from the proxy/cache server(s) - this is the way I do it to force people 
to use our caching proxy server to help save on bandwidth.

2) Get hold of the sysadmin and politely indicate that there is a problem 
and ask them when it might be fixed. If that does not work - gradually 
escalate the request up the IT hierarchy!
