The report on the meta data workshop which I attended is still not out and
although there were positive features they have -

* still not fixed on a final syntax
* Where is a free for all in the subelements
* W3C is introducting some new wrinkles on HTML later in the year which
will change this.
* NO major search engines are using it yet.

While the library community has a significant presence in this effort a
great deal of input comes from elsewhere.  This was the 4th conference in
an international series and it is good to see  australia is making input.
