Call for Papers
The Future of the Internet?
Electronic Journal of Communication/
La revue electronique de communication
The Internet has become the focus of the strategic and commercial
ambitions for a range of key industries. The computer software,
telecommunications, publishing, educational and broadcasting industries
see the Internet as integral to their future. But how will the Internet
evolve? How will these powerful post-industrial industries use the
Internet and shape its future? What new media and communications
systems will emerge? Volume 8, Number 2, 1998 of the Electronic Journal
of Communication/ La revue electronique do communication (EJC/REC) will
focus on these issues.
Proposals for papers which provide a grounded analysis of these
issues are sought. While speculative papers are welcome, speculation
should be based on theoretical, historical, forecasting or industry
analysis of some kind.
Proposals for papers should be sent to the Guest Editor, Peter B.
White at peter.white@latrobe.edu.au by September 15, 1997. They should
contain a 300 word outline and brief biographical details of the
author(s). Invitation to submit papers for anonymous peer review will
be made by October 1, 1997. Completed papers will be due December 1,
1997.
