Just happens to be a small obsession of mine:
The Internet will be used extensively for information from parties and the
media.
It could be used to open up the agenda beyond the existing limits, help
create citizen-based consensus that then flows back the other way, and
makes the media and the parties sit up and take notice. This is what has
happened with the Minnesota e-democracy project.
But such democracy is not a self-organising system. It requires deliberate
planning and nurturing. It drives me mad that Pauline is the only one
calling for corporate tax reform.
