Last time I did "live" coverage from the Tally Room in Canberra:
http://www.acslink.net.au/~tomw/elect96.htm

This just consisted of myself with a laptop and GSM wireless connection in
the tally room and stills photographers from the National Library.
Unfortunately some of the photos seem to have been lost from the server.
Anyone know where the NLA archived them?

What surprised me was that my equipment looked sophisticated next to much of
the stuff in the room. The team from a major radio network next to me next
to me had a home-made looking box with switches and knobs on it plugged into
one analog mobile phone.
