Coca-Cola-Amatil and 'branding' of chips

Re branding. Doesn't this take the same place as your name would in terms
of identification and trust building? What if I went around impersonating
Richard and said things that he was totally opposed to or were without the
level of quality he wanted to represent from his work. Wouldn't that be
the same thing?

A brand to me is an identify of a corporate product, just like a personal
name is. I guess one difference is that we have lots of people with the
same name, so we need other differentiators. [ers?]

My thinking is still fuzzy in this regard, but I don't thinks it's as
simple as saying 'no net branding'. Somehow it also fits across the DNS
debate, authentication and authorisation, digital sigs, etc.

The Kettle chips story was also on 7:30 report last night. CCA did blow
it on this one in my opinion. If I was a shareholder I'd be furious in
their wasting of money. They've already lost three times and spent over 3
times the money of the initial settlement offer.
