I think the exception will become the rule pretty quickly. Anyone
starting a brand today - for an individual product or a business
name - would be pretty silly to do so without securing a matching
domain name first.

Brands that are business names may be 'approved' today (not given out)
by government agencies, but product brands aren't.
Lets not confuse 'brands' with 'registered trademarks'.
