telecommunications, publishing, TV and radio, the "information industries"
are emerging to dominate the world economy. How has electronic commerce
affected the Australian economy? What of the future? What steps should
Australian companies and government take to position Australian for an

Department of Industry, Science and Tourism, is hosting the 1998
Information Industry Outlook Conference, Saturday 7 November 1998 in
Canberra to address the issues.

IRCs are free (but you have to buy your own drinks and one for
the special guest) and open to anyone interested: just turn up.
