                     The state attorney general has filed
                     Washington's first lawsuit against an Internet
                     spammer, sending a message that deceptive
                     spam will not be tolerated.

                     The claim, filed Thursday in King County
                     Superior Court in Seattle, alleges that Jason
                     Heckel, 24, the owner of a Salem,
                     Oregon-based company called Natural Instincts,
                     used false and misleading information to entice
                     recipients to download and read his
                     advertisements.
