* Study finds more people using online shopping*

A new study of consumer behaviour in Australia has put figures on
the growth in "window shopping" on the Internet.

The KPMG Centre for Consumer Behaviour has sampled 2,000 people for
its latest research.

It has found 38 per cent have access to the Internet.

The centre's research director, Brent Taylor, says the use of the
Internet to research retail purchases has jumped from 9.7 per cent
to 12.2 per cent of Australians in the past six months.
