Ramin,
> NOIE formed the .AU working group because ADNA asked it to?
Yes. When it became clear that ADNA was unlikely to receive the
support necessary to fulfil its objectives, in May last year ADNA
formally wrote to NOIE asking them to facilitate a process to create
an entity which would have the necessary support across the internet
community to manage the .au namespace.
>So will NOIE ultimately get back to ADNA?
No. The process is independent of ADNA. ADNA is just one of the
groups providing input to the new process. I'm the only ADNA
representative in the new process.
Regarding the process itself, timeframe, those involved, etc, that is
up to NOIE.

It is completely separate from ADNA. It is logical that some entities
that were involved in ADNA are also involved in the new process,
because they had and still have an interest in issues relating to the
management of the .au namespace. In fact, it would be odd if none of
the entities originally involved in ADNA were involved in the new
process. We may be two years on, but the fundamental issues remain
the same.
